Uruguayans drink mate, which is hot and bitter, either in winter or summer. There's even hot water machines at gas stations to replenish the water of the bottle gourd.
Uruguayans like to spend the weekend afternoons at the edge of Rio de la Plata, called rambla. They take seats, coolboxes and mate and enjoy as if they’re at their balcony.
